Our Story

Psychotherapy in the City (PITC) opened its doors in 2012 with a vision to provide affordable, relational, and empathetic therapy for the community. As the business grew, founder Clarinda Brandao knew that she needed to expand the team to reach and support more individuals. In 2016, independent contractor Maria Mihailoska joined the team, and the two quickly realized they wanted to continue growing the business together. In 2018, Maria became a partner in PITC. Since then, the team has moved to a larger location, grown their amazing team, and become mentors to new students entering the field. PITC continues to expand, adding different services to support the needs of the community.

The team recognized a growing need for corporate coaching to better support clients struggling with work-related trauma, anxiety, change, and burnout. To address this need, PITC brought on John Profiti as the lead corporate coach to provide one-on-one coaching. As the community continues to adjust to a post-pandemic society, organizations must have the tools to strengthen the resilience of their leaders to successfully navigate mental health and performance issues when they emerge in the workplace. To meet this need, PITC Corporate was born as a division of PITC.

PITC Corporate provides workshops and seminars that address both corporate and individual needs related to mental health. We also provide workshops that offer structure and tools to improve employee engagement, performance, and productivity. Our mission is to support organizations in strengthening their resilience when navigating mental health, employee performance, leadership, and professional development in the workplace.
